Wearing braces in 2023

The braces first appear in the history books in 1736 (more on this in our guide). And even in 2023, the braces can no longer be ignored on the streets. Whereas in history the suspender was mainly worn as a functional accessory to keep your trousers up, nowadays you also wear braces as a real fashion accessory. A fashion accessory worn by men, women, and children nowadays.

Braces trends 2023

Braces, like other fashion accessories, are now subject to trends. Now, we don't think you can easily go wrong with a pair of braces when it comes to making the perfect combination, but we definitely see certain trends and bestsellers popping up this season. For instance, narrow braces and luxury braces are currently the most chosen models. This is mainly because ladies have also discovered the suspender in a big way and then like to opt for a pair of narrow braces. Narrow braces are also definitely an elegant choice for ladies because of the narrower straps of 2.5cm wide.

Another bestseller now is the luxury braces. These braces come with buttons, leather loops and clips so you can attach the braces to your trousers any way you like. Luxury braces feature 3.5 cm wide elastic bands and can be attached to the waistband with the clips, among other things. If you wear the luxury braces with clips, you simply remove the leather loops that are included. Should you wish to wear the braces in a more chic/traditional way, the leather loops of this type of brace are attached to the inside of the waistband of the trousers or pantaloons by means of the buttons provided and you simply remove the clips provided.  

Trendy colours
